Q: What is this site about?
A: This is Dog Days, an animated panfandom roleplay. This means you can choose your favorite canon character from any anime, manga or video game and bring them to life in this new setting.
Q: Are the canons the same as you would see them in their original setting?
A: Yep! We want you to portray the canon as closely as you can to their original selves.
Q: The application is freeform, but what does that mean?
A: Basically you get to choose how you want to apply your character on site. If you want to write a background, go for it! If you're more comfortable writing a roleplay sample, do that instead. As long as staff feels like you have a good grasp of your character's voice, you can choose the way you write the app.
Q: Can a canon character apply for a canon site position?
A: Canon site positions include things specific to Dog Days, like the royal family and those who work at SYNTAX and MICROCORP. Your canon character is more than welcome to become one of these positions; in fact, we encourage it!
Q: What's the deal with the OUTSIDER member group?
A: Characters are put in groups based on where they are registered. So, a character can be registered in any of the three worlds, but that doesn't mean they have to live there exclusively. To 'register' in a world is like saying you're from that world. So you can choose to be from Artuven, Doth or Sila Mata, but you don't have to live there all the time. The outsiders are people who haven't registered with a world because they haven't chosen where they want to live OR because they just want to be nomads who move from place to place. It's all up to you!
