This is apollo justice, the one taken from the beginning of case 4 in dual destinies, on the road to becoming the person he would have been if the 'bad ending' of the game had become canon. Spoiler warnings from here on out for the majority of dual destinies and ace attorney: apollo justice.


Once, not too long ago, he was a bright, young, eager to please. Since then, Apollo has matured from the easily flustered rookie into a calm, confident and dependable attorney that does his best to motivate others by boosting their confidence levels. Constantly striving to be the lawyer he knows his boss, phoenix wright is, apollo views justice and the truth above all else and isn't afraid to speak up about what he feels is right.

He felt like he knew the truth, once. Apollo's bracelet, given to him by his mother, looks like an ordinary piece of outdated jewlery to most people, but his inherited ability of almost superhuman sight(a 'power', if you will) allows him to use it to tell when people are lying by spotting their nervous ticks and habits, anything out of place when they don't tell the truth. Apollo once relied on it intensively, and it let him root out all the lies of the world. After all, no lawyer is that good without a trick or two up their sleeve.

One day, his childhood friend was murdered, and the bracelet, like always, began to point apollo in the direction of the truth. The problem was that it implicated his co-worker and close friend, and though he hated himself and tried to stop it, the doubt began to build up slowly until the breaking point. jaded, conflicted and honestly, still grieving, apollo left the office - and her, that particular co-worker - in order to find the answers he sought by himself. This is when he ends up in the new worlds, with no way to get back.

Apollo doesn't trust anyone, but it's more like he can't bring himself to, after what's happened. He wears a bandage over one of his eyes because he can't control the ability otherwise, and keeps his bracelet hidden inside the bandages covering his arms. the jacket belonged to his best friend - nowadays, apollo wanders around, still searching for the truth that he never ended up finding.
