It wasn't often that Lucy wore a frown upon her lips. She was generally a happy soul who loved going out to do new things or to just soak up the sunshine. That's what she was doing today; leaving the cold confines of her apartment to take in the light of the sun above. For some reason she was just in an irritable mood, and the blonde hoped that being outside would make her feel better.
Not many people were out yet; it was still relatively early and the sun had just risen over the horizon. Lucy had her usual attire on, consisting of a short skirt and a tank top, with her long hair pulled into a pony tail and a pad of paper in her slender fingertips. Behind her right ear rested a pencil, and her brown eyes searched the area around her to find something interesting to write about. Being a journalist, she was always on the lookout for a story, but nothing was coming to her as she moved toward Cedar Park.
With a sigh, the blonde sat down on a bench, leaning back to take in the sights around her. People-watching was one of her most favorite hobbies, and maybe it would bring her out of her funk.

► that's my life nothing is sacred i don't keep friends, i keep acquainted i'm not a prophet, but i'm here to profit i don't fall in love, i don't fall in love | lucy heartfilia • words • notes Although he wasn't used to....wherever this was, much less where he'd come from right before this, Rocket could admit that yes, this was a bit better than traveling the empty darkness of space with a bunch of assholes that he'd never admit he really cared for and was actually genuinely worried about. It was some kind of Terran city, it looked like. No, it was most definitely a Terran city. Most definitely. And it was....a big reminder that he really should feel like crap right now because Groot would love this. Sunlight, other trees...he'd be trying to talk to them, certainly, but it'd still be....something to keep him reassured that yes, one of his friends was okay.
At the moment, he didn't know if any of them were.
But....it was best to keep a distracted mind. There's no worries when his mind is distracted, and....okay. Let's....talk to someone? Maybe? If they don't run you off? Or something? He grimaced a bit. Okay. Who was....alright, well, there was a teenage Terran girl. Could he talk to....well. No use not trying.
"...Err, hi." He spoke up, standing nearby....hopefully she wouldn't have a...too poor reaction. | |
