SOL BADGUY | "LIKE A RENEGADE. ALL ALONE I WALK THROUGH FIRE. TILL I CRASH AND BLAZE. I'M LIVING ON THE EDGE." |
INFORMATION P.W.A.B. Report #9641 Investigation of this subject has unfortunately come to a complete halt. We are certain that in 2172 he joined the Sacred Order of Holy Knights, but later left and currently makes a living as a bounty hunter. Several witnesses claim that the subject does not age, which has lead to rumors he may be involved with the "Gear Project." It is unclear what his objectives are; however, there is evidence that he wants to destroy all gears. In regard to his combat abilities, all that really needs to be said is that he destroyed Justice. He has surpassed all human limits, and is said to be almost supernatural. Because we know so little about his background, and because controlling him would prove difficult, we give him a risk rating of S. = SAMPLE = The nightly chill brought on by the winter tousled the ragged old cloak of a lone figure walking down the dimly lit streets of the Imperial capital in solitude. The vagabond’s face was hidden, mostly brought on the by shadows of the hood that he wore over on his head. In his mouth was a single stick of unlit cigarette lazily placed between his lips. Perhaps out of all the articles that the man had on him, the most notable object he carried was a large unidentifiable… thing resembling that of a ‘sword’. Perhaps it was wrong to be called as such. The grip was strange, the overall shape completely unorthodox and front heavy, and its rectangular shape made it unsuitable for either cutting - or thrusting. Only one way that a person could ever hope to describe it upon seeing it would be that of a large, slab of metal wrapped in cloth and series of iron cords that kept the parchment in place. A rhythmic hum eventually left the man, seemingly singing a song to himself. An unfamiliar tune to many, an ancient song - many, many years back. No one remembered the name of the band anymore. All that accompanied him were the wind’s banshee-like howl and a soft tune that escaped his lips. However, he knew, in this night, he was not alone. For some time, he had a feeling that something - or someone was tracking his movements ever since he got here. There were eyes on him, more than a pair from the darkest parts of alleys and corners. Especially from soldiers and nobles that he had the most ’pleasure’ of... running across. Already, the man’s name started to fluctuate. The news within a large city like this traveled quickly, rumors sprung up left and right, and work... was always available for the likes of bounty hunter who went by the name of: Sol Badguy. Like a true bounty hunter, what he looked for was a hunt. A good hunt, something worth his time. He didn’t travel all the way out here to earn money for nothing. Namely, a certain group of assassins going around killing ‘very important people’ have caught his ears. Interestingly enough, they never seemed to cover their faces - perhaps there was no need since... well, nobody had seen them. Their attacks were swift and brutal, no witnesses had ever laid their eyes on them. Even if there were who had seen them, it was most likely that they were dispatched very, very quickly. When he first came here, he also saw the result of one of their raids. Though the man was no stranger to seeing bloody entrails, body parts and dead bodies flung around everywhere as if a Tasmanian devil had blown across the scene, he couldn’t deny that their attacks were efficient. To learn more, he asked around, locals mostly. He didn’t even bother approaching the nobles since they probably didn’t have time for ‘commoners’ like him. The information, unfortunately came very scarcely. Nobody knew who they were, what they were and where they really originated from. Rumor had it that they were part of the kingdom once and defected. So, in order to see their work, the bounty hunter walked around the streets, making himself a very vulnerable target for any robbers or filthy sewer rats laying around, but all of that was quite deliberate. He wanted to see these infamous assassins - if not, catch a glimpse of them in a grim curiosity. Sol didn’t know what their motive were, what they were after - all he knew was that people were dying left and right. He could just smell the faint odor of blood in the air. Blood? The gust mix of dust and dirt blew harshly from north, throwing off the hood that the man had worn. The crimson orbs in his eyes momentarily flashed as he lazily glanced behind him. A figure? He stopped in his tracks, his breathing was calm and steady. Not a single bit of nervousness was seen on his features. He was relaxed, seemingly uncaring. For now, he stayed quiet until the veil of darkness was removed from the stranger in his sights. "...." = EQUIPMENT = Junkyard Dog mk. III: A deadly byproduct that resulted after combining the two 'OutRage' weapons (Fuuenken and Senga) into one. Like all 'Sacred Treasures' known by many, the Junkyard Dog mk. III boasts on amplifying magical abilities of its wielder. Fuuneken [Fire Seal Blade] specifically focuses on, his fire-based magic. However, the weapon's primary function is to serve as a medium of some sort for casting his spells. This provides Sol with steady flow of mana that he could work with, allowing him to actually stabilize the magic that he casts in steady, controlled stream of consistent bursts. Added with Senga [Flashing Tooth], the weapon is also capable of using light magic; however, the only time he demonstrated this was when he used the Junkyard Dog as a cannon to fire 'St. Oratorio'. Gear Cell Containment Device: A peculiar-looking accessory that one could see Sol wearing around his forehead all the time. This headband suppresses most of his immeasurable powers as a Gear at bay in order to keep it from going out of control. While Sol is able to use his power without its help, he risks losing any semblance of his current human form and sanity, turning him into nothing more than a raving monster. However, with each passing year as his power constantly grows, it's becoming extremely difficult for him to control his abilities - even with his limiter on. This forces him to hold back tremendously. ABILITIES As his name implies, Sol's power lies in his ability to use fire-based magic against his opponents. Whether it be creating massive explosions or towers of inferno that cremates just about everything, he is a walking nuclear bomb that is extraordinarily difficult to stop by any conventional means. Armed with such ability, this feared bounty hunter has gone up against several ferocious opponents and came out victorious several times while only using a fraction of his power. The secret of his strength, however, lies in the fact that he is a Gear. Not just any Gear, but a prototype. Much like what the report written by the Post War Administration Bureau's own agents reads, Sol has surpassed all forms of human limits. Even in his current 'weaker' base form, Sol has consistently shown the ability of superhuman strength, speed and endurance to be able to keep up with Justice (and eventually defeat her), the only known command-type Gear that has shown the ability to completely obliterate an entire continent. When Justice attempted to assume control him upon finding out that he was indeed a Gear like her, he showed the ability to resist mind control-type abilities that would've turned him against the entire humanity. Also, Sol has been known to survive and quickly regenerate from attacks that would normally kill a human being. He has been skewered, shot at, exploded, poisoned, got his past self killed, electrocuted and has taken all sorts of punishments that the deadliest fighters have to dish out to him, and he survived - if not, simply shrugged all of them off. In addition, he even operated within the boundaries of the soul-crushing effects of the 'Backyard', an extraterrestrial higher dimension that would pulverize anyone's souls and bodies into nothing more than a form of information if gone in unprepared. Within it, he fought against Vizuel Valentine. During their battle, however, she created illusions and Sol saw through all of them and destroy the real one, allowing him to snatch a hard-earned victory against the femme fatale. During the events that have transpired during 'Baptisma 13', it is implied that Sol knows about other magic outside the ones he knows. He is capable of dispelling, and even quickly analyzing an information that's given to him to such a degree that one would be surprised by his sharp intellect. When Izuna 'tuned' him to use Soul Sinker spell and its tribe-summoning features, Sol quickly got a grasp of its usage and began to utilize it freely without his help in a short period of time. However, what is a Soul Sinker? Soul Sinker (otherwise known as the 'Master Ghost') is a spell that takes a physical manifestation of the user's soul. As long as it's up, Sol can easily come back to life if he is somehow 'killed'. It is unknown how many times one could revive before it finally deteriorates, but if it is destroyed, then the user's soul gets destroyed and ultimately, dies. Despite its revival capabilities, that is not its intended purpose. Its purpose is to allow the sorcerer to combat multiple enemies at once by summoning 'Servants' into the fields of battle. Sol was known to summon servants of following: Minion: ● Hunchback Base Units: ● Drill ● Blade ● Pencil Guy 'Elite' Units: ● Blockhead ● Engulfer ● Fire Wheel ● Queen ● Gigant His intellectual capabilities are also impressive. Being a scientist that once backed the Gear Project at a young age, he is savvy with both technology and magic arts. Using the knowledge and experienced that he had gained, he made 'Sacred Treasures', or 'OutRage' (anti-gear weapons) along with his Gear Cell Containment Device that he wears around his forehead. In short, giving this man a prep-time before battle is a very, very bad idea. = Extras = ● Dragon Install: An ability that is scarcely used by Sol. He taps into a portion of his power that he normally doesn't use and unleashes nigh-unrestrained fury on his opponents. This kicks up his potency of his magic, physical attributes and regenerative abilities through the roof, but because he holds himself back tremendously, he struggles against his Gear instincts to gain dominance over himself at this state. This results in him controlling this for a very short period of time(3 posts) before he reverts back to his normal self and leave himself temporarily vulnerable (2 posts). CANON POINT This Sol was taken from the Xrd timeline during a mission that was conducted to him to lower the Cradle's shields for the allied forces to demolish it. Sol's attempts are successful, thanks to the help of 'That Man', but the allied forces fails to destroy the it. The Cradle then turns into Justice, and ends up getting away into the Backyard along with the Conclave inside. Despite the orders given to retreat, Sol decides that he would follow his enemies into the alternate dimension to end it once and for all; however, instead of ending up inside the Backyard, he instead ends up spawning in unfamiliar lands. | NICKNAME Flame of Corruption, Sol, AGE 180+ [But seems to look as if he's in his mid-to-late twenties] GENDER Male SEXUALITY Heteroromantic Asexual OCCUPATION Bounty Hunter ORIGIN Sila Mata PLAYED BY freddie |
